Headlight problem
 

So after 7 years of having custom headlights, I finally decided to put the stock stuff back in. I put all the parts back in today and am experiencing a weird problem. The lights stay in the up position, and when I turn the headlights on, they go into the closed position but with the headlights on... When I turn the headlights off the headlights bounce up and down 10 times or so and then stop in the up position again. I've unplugged the hazard/headlight switch so that the lights are totally immobile right now. Oh and my high beams aren't working either (they work if I pull the lever but don't come on if I push it into high beam mode).

Well that's where I'm at. I am thinking it could be the relay by the clutch master, but does anyone else have any insight into this?

do you have the motor wired backwards or something? as far as the highbeam issue i think that is probably something to do with your switch on the steeringwheel maybe a dirty contact etc.

Definitely not wired backwards. The plugs are laid out so they can't really go any other way.

sounds like you have the machinal stuff bolted in 180* backwards

the motors go into the "raised" position when the lights are on, but because you have the bracket flipped 180* it closes them, then when you turn them off it moves to its "down" position, and in your case raising them back up


just flip that bracket around that is between the spinning part of the raiseing motor and that 6" arm that goes to the light bucket
