thanks guys

do you own a miata, or did you just sign up here and make three post before you grew enough balls just to ask that question on here?

rider384 12-21-2010 02:21 AM

Definitely not any standard Miata wheel. Just because it came off a Miata doesn't mean it's a Miata wheel.

C_MONEY 12-21-2010 03:00 AM

I'm pretty sure there miata wheels because the centercaps on the wheels are the miata "flame in a circle" thingamagig lol and they have mazda cast on the inside of the wheels

WonTon 12-21-2010 03:01 AM

if they have the mazda flame then they are not NB wheels.....

maybe from a diff mazda....

Nope don't own a miata but i do own a rwd 1.6 with a custom turbo kit running on megasquirt and lets see first post was a intro on the mr2 and the other 2 where me buying turbo parts off the site.

Now i have a question for you, are you allways an ass? :fawk: People like you piss me off, you think because your sitting at home hiding behind a compter you have the right to be rude and talk shit, I'm here to tell you friend ,grow up be an adult and earn some respect.

But thank you for the information about the wheels

WonTon 12-21-2010 03:13 AM

you would probly be suprised that I may be one of the nicest people on here! ;)

I didnt feel like searching your post to see what you posted about.....

Bond 12-21-2010 03:33 AM

Those are STO wheels, I have no clue what year or anything, but STO sounds right

WonTon 12-21-2010 03:37 AM

STO was only made in 97! STO meaning (Still The One)

Wernt they the last ones to come off the lines when they ended the NA chassis?

C_MONEY 12-21-2010 04:05 AM

Looks like you figured it out bond, thank you

I understand why i have never seen these before with them only building 1500 ( yes wonton the las 1500 sold in the US). Makes me wonder why anyone would seperate them from the car.

curly 12-21-2010 05:45 AM

Cause it's a specialty Miata, no one really cares. They're a cheap, RWD, fun, light car. We all appreciate a clean example of a Miata, but I don't think many of us on here are die hard Miata enthusiasts.

Oh, and as a noob, don't give a subscribing member with 2500 posts attitude, it won't end well for you. I didn't see your welcome thread, so welcome.

with that being said, here am MT.net, we dont care if its a M-edition, BRG, R-package, STO, 10AE, 1st one to roll off the line, blah blah blah blah blah. If its a miata, we are going to molest it. Over on M.net is where they Drool over that stuff...

c-note...yes, those are Miata wheels...they look great on your car BTW. Always had a spot for Mk1's..would love to see one with a crazy 3SGTE swap :D
Don't mind GayTon....his fingers are faster than his brain and he is about as intimidating as a housefinch :giggle:

And Sean...STO stands for Special Touring Option.

Rennkafer 12-21-2010 11:26 AM

Those wheels were stock on the STO's and they also came on the M editions in '96 (which they made a lot more of).

Box car is boxy.

fooger03 12-22-2010 12:18 PM

No dum-dums; STO = "shit taken off"
Its more or less an M-Edition, except they ran out of parts; none of this shit is on the STO

Torsen
Rear Sway Bar
ABS
Cruise control
Power Antenna
Premium Sound

(And other random shit that specifically makes an "m" an "m"...such as the "m" badge)

Zissou 12-23-2010 10:30 PM

Those are definitely the wheels I've seen on a '96 M-Edition. Really good looking wheels in my opinion.

icantthink4155 12-24-2010 05:32 PM

I am really surprised no one posted this link yet.
