Help with water lines

Do I need to tee off the blue hose where the water neck used to be, or is there a cleaner way to do the water lines. I also don't remember where the water lines to the throttle body connect. Please help.

They connect to the throttle body on the rusty pipes sticking out. You can run w/o them though.

I guess I should be more specific. Now that I removed the front waterneck. Where should I connect the factory oil cooler lines and the throttle body?

Do I need to tee into one of my blue water lines in the pic, or can I avoid this?

Is it better to not run water through he throttle body?

I guess I'm a few weeks late on this thread, but I was just thinking of starting one very similar. I'm kind of disappointed with the lack of replies, maybe we can get this going.

djp, my current setup is not running water through the throttlebody. Living in a warm climate, I could see no reason to run 200 degree water through my intake. Maybe I missed something, but I see no reason to keep it as long as there is no threat to a frozen throttlebody.

I've seen some cars with the front water neck completely eliminated and I'm very interested in learning more about that setup, I just had a few questions...

I'm assuming that removal of the front water neck means the supply to the oil cooler and turbo are coming from the "hot water" at the back of the motor, correct?

If the cooler and turbo are fed inline (from the same source) which would it be advisable to feed first? Or do they absolutely need to come from separate sources?

Does getting an aftermarket oil cooler eliminate the need to run water to the stock cooler?

I had the same concerns about the 200 degree water coming throught the throttle body. Seems counterintuitive to have an intercooler, then a heater.

Here are my thoughts: With forced induction I think the heating of the throttle body is less of a concern. The air is flowing though the throttle opening so fast that I bet the heating effect is minimal. I think that NA would be more of a concern.

I could have easily bypassed it by going from the oil cooler to the waterneck location.

Long story short: M car ran great with it fixed, so I saw no reason other than asthetic to romve it. As it turns out; It doesn't look that bad hooked up. I removed the thermostat housing and replaced it with a barb. I used a short length of coolant hose to a tee fitting. With hindsite I would have used a straight brass pipe Instead of rubber hose) to a brass tee.
