I wonder if it makes more sense to acquire a clean short block. I can take out my current engine in stages - first the head and then the block. Then I drop a good block in, and go from there. I just can't get an engine lift set up on the street in front of my building, my neighbors will shit live kittens.

Sorry, I've put the crack pipe down now. Without a garage space, I'm now looking for a shop in Chicagoland that will swap in a motor for me. Unless someone has a garage I can use. I put in this motor myself and could do another swap in a weekend if I just had the space.
