High idle
I just can't get the idle to come down to where it needs to be. Right noe it idles at 1200 rpms. I searching through all the write ups and try what they say. It's a '94 1.8 in a '92 body.

Vacuum leak would be my first thought. They can cause high idle. Did you just swap the motor? Check by spraying around the hoses with carb cleaner. If revs increase, you found your leak.
|
what throttle body; I'm assuming stock 1.6L?
It's either unplugged or you have a vacuum leak. |
I was thinking I have a vacuum leak also but can't find it. I didn't use carb cleaner but used an unlit propane torch. I did just finish the 1.8 swap and used the stock 1.6 throttle body. Am I missing another possible spot for a leak.

Check if the IAC is stuck open. I had a high idle for like a month before I thought to check the damn thing.
|
Ill check that in the morning. Y'all are a great help on here and don't criticize over small problems.

It was the IAC stuck. Tapped it a couple times and the idle dropped to normal. Hopefully it was just stuck and not showing sign of failure.

Blast it with
Or run without an IAC like a boss. |
