Default You guys are awesome, so....

I popped the end tank on my radiator the other night ATTEMPTING to drift so I ordered a new one. I got the 37mm all aluminum Koyo off Ebay for 349 shipped. Does anyone have a picture of this in a vehicle? I have looked and looked and can't find a thing.
Oh and my Hard Dog bar came in the other day and as I was having my *** handed to me in the installation process my neighbor walks over and asks me what I was doing. He finds it amusing that I spend all my time and money on my Miata (then again he does drive a ******* El Camino) anywhoo he tells me that bolting all that crap in the rear would take to long and to drive it over to his shop and he will just weld it all in for me. You guys think this is a good idea?

Thats what you get for drifting.

Do you want a picture to know how the rad mounts? Or just to see the bling? I'll vouch for koyo as mine(also from e-bay) mounted up perfectly with no issues.

As for the bar, its not really that hard to install and if I were you I'd just get a friend to help and get it done. If you bolt it in, it will be easier to take out and sell if you want to.

radiator should install in the exact opposite as the removal. dunno how drifting contributed to a busted radiator.

hard dog took me 6 hours by myself with hand tools. once you get it ready to bolt up, drilling is the easy part...

I don't have the Koyo, but I have the all aluminum Ron Davis, it'll look similar.

I bolted my hard dog bar in and welded it. Most people just bolt them and and that's it.

WOW Vash, you going JDM on us with all the blue bling under yo' hood? j/k
Looking good, makes me want to the same when I pull my motor, it will be much easier that way. I also want to cut out all unused wires from the bay, such as Airbag harness and the such.

To OP, don't get it welded in, just bolt it up, you never know what can happen to your Miata a few years down the road, you may want to sell it or you may end up wrecking it, if it's bolted in, just take it out and install on your next Miata.

Welding the bar in will get you minimal returns in chassis rigidity. You'll be sorry you did it when you DORIFTOUOTUUATUOUTOUTUUUU into a pole.

Yo my **** is pimmppp....son. That's what is in the works now with the wires. I got most of the airbag **** out, but I still have alot of cleaning up to do. I recommend that anyone wanting to paint the engine bay does it when they have time to have **** apart for a little bit. Like when having the motor out!

I kinda have a ongoing joke down at are shop complex from when I hit a pole. That's why anything metal that even touches my car is instantly welded. I am making it 7000x stronger for next time. I'm guessing I've added 100lbs at least, that's why I got me this CF hood yo. Welding is definitely overboard.
