Hit the dyno today...

Made a couple of pulls just to see where I was at. The setup is pretty much what I have in my signature. It's only running at 10# of boost right now with the stock engine. I'm going to enjoy it for another month or so until the rain starts and then I will put the built motor and transmission in. It feels extremely slow to me and I can't wait to turn it up with the built motor. My goals are high and I will get there somehow. Here's the dyno chart and a few pics of the car. The setup should look familiar to a few or you (thanks Mike).

Your car is HOTT! Damn.

Nice numbers. Was that corrected or uncorrected, flywheel or wheel hp? Sending you a PM.

Uncorrected at the wheels.

if you do it just right and land back at 5779.9 rpm after every shift, you'll get a great pull in every gear...

My goal is currently to hit 400 at the wheels on pump gas with the built motor. From there I think I will still need more and I already have a plan when that day arrives.

Right now I'm just running off the wastegate, so I hope to get better spool once I can get the EBC to work for me. I don't want to have to rev up to 8000 rpm if I don't have too.

Besides putting in the new motor and transmission I need to do something about the rear end. I'm thinking about the Ford 8.8, but I haven't really done much research on it yet. I'm just a regular guy who doesn't know how to weld and I am pretty limited at what I can do in my garage.

Whenever I work on this car I wish I lived back east where people seem much more willing to help each other out with projects. Is there anything in the setup or the car that I should change? There's only so much a guy can learn using the search button for a couple of hours daily for longer than I want to admit.

The ford 7.5 is badass too. Don't think it ain't. However, the Lincoln Mark VIII has an all aluminum 8.8 IRS setup. It's the same suspension the Mustang Cobra got. Mustang GT guys drool over it. If I were gonna do the swap, I'd find one out of a Mark VIII. It's lighter and just as stronger than the iron version. 1 year Mach VII also had an aluminum driveshaft, like the 93's or something. It's worth $$$ if you find one.
