how close are bilstein w/ 440/350 springs to tein flex?

Just curious. I have the said damper/spring combo with FCM stops, NB front mounts, and FM rear mounts with stock swaybars. My car is corner weighted and I'm happy with the miniscule, dialed understeer that I can easily control with some throttle, so I stayed away from sway bars because I've read that sways are more for fine tuning and fixing weight bias.

Any thoughts?

Revalved? Probably better. Stock? Probably a little worse.

yeah, this is what I thought too. I'm tired of running with the kids at the track, I want to run with the adults. considering everyone has 200+whp and 225 r-compounds that's not going to happen.

I really want to do the turbo build before the Hallett event.

start with the r-comps. they'll totally change your handling balance.
such as:

* increase front brake bias
* increase body roll in corners
* change push/oversteer balance

so then you can see if you need to change the suspensions. and fwiw the 7/6 rates for the tein are 390/330ish.

in my opinion, a stock powered car can keep up with a 200 rwhp car if the stock car has suspension and awesome brakes. and a decent driver. if you can brake significantly later and maintain slightly higher corner speed, you'll eat up a turbo car. at least when you aren't on the straights. it's also easier to modulate the gas pedal--floor it at the apex. let off at the braking zone.

yeah, I might need sway bars when I get the nt01's. More money, all the damn time.

what kind of springs are we talking about? i need springs badly, but I only know of eibachs and i don't want lowering springs. 400/350 would be good i think. I'm probably sticking with stock sways and my Koni yellows. The car has perfect balance, just way too much body roll.

ERS...I have a ground control kit...but not the standard one.

yeah, 949 racing has a sale right now for 205/50/15 for like $130. People talk these tires up like the second-coming.
