How do I differentiate 1.6 or 1.8 exhaust manifold?
I found a flyin miata turbo manifold in my storage. I am wondering if there is anyway I can tell if it is a 1.6 or 1.8 by looking at the manifold measurements.
Can someone help? |
The BP has larger bore spacing than the B6. So, you should be able to tell by the spacing of the exhaust manifold stud holes. Here's a quickie:

Not sure on the measurements, but do you have a stock exhaust manifold lying around? Or an exhaust gasket?
I have a an exhaust gasket from a 1.8. Be very clear on what you're measuring and I can compare. |

Arabic numerals are what every English-speaking American uses to express numerals, sizes, amounts, or quantities of many items. I could, for instance, use them to describe the number of good posts you've made on this forum (0).
Making simple math with parts of inches (II III/VIII - I VII/XVI) is tricky regardless of numbering system :D XV/XVI ? Completely unsure of Romans used parts though. |
