How many miles on your turbo miata?
 

Whats up guys, im about to purchase a 00 miata with 115k miles, plan on turboing it, was wondering how reliable yalls miatas have been throughout the miles of your cars life....is 115k low enough to boost one up to around 200whp safely if everything is mechanically good?

I turbo'd my 99' at 145K. Like 148k now and it's kickin'. Just do a compression test. If it's all fine, the motor is fine. Mileage doesn't mean much.

turbo went on at about 30 or 40k and i'm now approaching 90k. do it.

3k, lol still going strong-ish.

Turbo went on at 22, have like 25 now.

mine has been on for about 4k miles and is still perfectly fine.

mines going on at 180k it should be fine lol

I've got around 7 or 8k turbo miles on an old short nose.

Mine went on at 150k, now at 157k, still good here.

I put 15k on my 1.6 setup, no problems and ran 15psi. Although i had rebuilt the motor and upgraded the rods.

I have 5 or 6k on my turbo set up. Of those, a few hundred are track miles.

First turbo setup went on the car at 500 miles and the engine has been perfect all the way to 21.5K when I pulled it to put in a built engine.

I'm in Canada.. My car gets Kms put on it :) 30,000 kms on it boosted ...

Boosted my 94 at 97K last winter. Has 112K now. 240 rwhp.

Turbo went on at 130,654 July 3rd, 2007. Somewhere around 157.5k right now.

Turbo went on at 145k, nw have 156k

Car: 149,000 miles
Engine: ~ 85,000 miles
Engine Turbo Miles: ~ 23,000 miles

Most of my problems are megasquirt and tuning related, the car itself if a tank.

10,000 so far knock on wood.

Boosted mine @ 95,000 miles 15psi. Has 157,000 miles now. 62,000 boosted miles. Didn't have it properly tuned in the beginning. Its eating up half a quart of oil every 1500 miles.
