It's extracting radiant heat from the exhaust manifold and circulating it through the engine and out the tail pipe.

Flawless system, seemingly designed by Hyper himself.

I've never touched one of those heat shields. And I can't at all give any real world experience with them....but I would think it would still get hot enough to help plastic that was literally touching it.

If not I will stand corrected and be really impressed with that heat shield.

On another side note.....REALLY.....A LEAF BLOWER!!!!!!!

This kid should get a lifetime membership at CR.NET

I wonder how he figured out which prongs on his extension cord were "positive" and "negative"...

To do that it would actually have to run for long enough for the headers to get hot. Something tells me he won't have that problem.

God Damn It! This is supposed to be a serious discussion!

I am thinking some kind of linkage system to attach a gas powered leaf blower to the cars throttle linkage. For fueling I thought having a tea kettle full of gas that is tipped when you step on the throttle. Just pour it onto the leaf blower's fan blade. You know, for proper fuel atomization.

Can someone get Joe or Brain to draw this **** up?

Show of hands:

1) Who thinks the kid hoped this to be a workable alternative to a real turbo?

2) Who thinks the kid just sees it as a science experiment in the driveway? ******* around because he can.

He's too young to drive the car. What's he supposed to do with it for the next three years?
