Been at uni in england for 9 months or so, but im back for the summer and am aiming to at least get it running before i leave this time.

At this point in time im prepping the chassis for spot welding...doing the tacks every inch

I have all the sensors for the tec3 at the moment, i just need to line up the trigger wheel and mount it, thinking of just tacking that onto the pulley once its lined up.

I plan to get it running NA on some 330cc injectors then build a semi equal for the gt28r.

The hard part right now is getting all this god forsaken seam sealant off :td:

PS the doors are freakin HEAVY

How much do the doors weight?

You stripping the seals with an angle grinder or is that just to prep for the welds? I will probably weld my door seams (not on the doors - you know what I mean) at some time since that seams like a pretty easy job to complete.

ill slap a door on my highly accurate :gay: bathroom scale tommorow, im figuring 30lbs or so each

im preping the seams for welding but i might see if i can strip all that crap off, which will be a chore and cost me more in primer and paint.

Any one have any tips for getting that crap off other than a wire brush wheel?

I'm pretty sure my doors (stripped of everything except the outer skin, the horizontal flat at the bottom, and the upper section that is hidden by the padding) weigh 25# each - yours have to be much heavier.

I've had success removing old interior tar/sealant by freezing it with dry ice and then scraping with a paint scraper.

ive used that co2 trick on the interior sound deadening before, its just that this exterior black stuff over the white seam sealant is quite tough to get off (probably why it was used)

94 doors with electric windows and door locks weigh approx 54lbs
