Default Bell Engineering Intake manifold for 1.6 Liters?

Just curious, is there any info on this? I see that they have the mani for the 94 up ones. Did you guys forget us 90-93 owners? Thats one thing I'd love to have since the quality is exceptional!

They are all pretty much custom made.

If you want one just e-mail them.

On M.net check this thread

http://forum.miata.net/vb/showthread...ntake+manifold

Andy Floyd is running a 1.6 engine sort of (actually 1.9L)

There is a significant difference between the 1.6 and 1.8 intake manifold. The injectors mount on the intake manifold on the 1.6, on the 1.8 they mount directly to the head.

So making a new intake manifold for the 1.6 is a little more of an undertaking. Probably the reason we haven't seen a 1.6 cold side supercharger (that isn't vaporware)

We have not done an intake manifold or a supercharger for the 1.6L because it means all new castings. Making new castings of this size is a huge undertaking. The 1.8L casting will not fit on a 1.6L. To my knowledge, Corky has no plans to do one. But if enough people called.......

nobody wants to make anything for the 1.6, they'll have you believe that you need to swap to a 1.8 for anything kind of power

Did you know that there are more 1.6 Miata's out there than 1.8's.

Look at the intl sales figures from Mazda 1989 to 1993 and add all the 1.6 that Europe and Japan got upto I believe 2002.

I think the problem is that as the NA 1.6 get's older and older people don't want to put big $$$ into them. Especially since the prices are generally so low. It has more to do with number of owners willing to plunk down money than the number of avalible cars.

Just look at the cheap bunch of bastards around here ... most are running 1.6l But we have something the 1.8 guys don't have, the Greddy turbo kit!

yea, thats pretty wack.that there is no 1.6 intake manifold.
but i do remember seeing custom manifolds with a edelbrock honda one with the runners welded on it from a miata.

i think there are more boosted 1.6 miatas.
