im giving up on the miata

so the other day, my fuel pump shits the bed, car wont go into boost, so i took the waste gate off and have been drving around for a dew days, then, on a kind of cold night, i went to reach for somthing in the back area of the miata and my hand grazed the plastic window, and it broke clean in two....
i got soo fed up, and so upset with all this car bull shit, i went out, and bought this.... Attachment 206676 Attachment 206677 Attachment 206678 Attachment 206679 its a stock 02 wrx wagon in white. 1 owner not modified clean history, mint interior, mint exterior new clutch book value for mine was 11.5k i gave them 8.4k iv wanted one for mad long and found one for cheap so im very happy so yea, my miata is up for sale dirt cheap, 2500 greddy turbo turbo tony dp in box coils in box needs a new top,and a fuel pump does run, does drive, has 133k on it ZERO RUST, CAR HAS BEEN GARAGED ITS WHOLE LIFE NEVER SEEN SNOW ILL REPOST THE MIATA FOR SALE IN THE FOR SALE THREAD ALSO |

i got a 2 year warrenty from the dealer i got it from, and that's how long my loan is, so for as long as im paying it off, its covered ( so long as i dont put too much shit into it)

I dunno, when my miata started breaking parts, became less and less reliable, comfortable, and economical, I went out and bought a 2008 Lancer for a DD. I was really afraid I'd do the exact same thing to it that I did to the miata; suspension, brakes, turbo, strip, and I'd be back to square one.
Almost 40,000 miles later, and all I've done apart from oil changes is replace the tires (I still drive it like Stig) and add an audio cable so I could plug in my iphone. I was surprised how content I was at the idea of giving up so much fun, power, and handling for a little comfort and better gas mileage, here's hoping I keep it that way! Only difference is that I kept my miata for a track only car, so I still get my fix :) |

a. fix miata, and hope nothing breaks.... b. buy newer car, with a much less chance of shit breaking put almost nothing down on the subbie, and since my credit was soo good, i got a great rate and only pay 200 a month for a nice quick reliable car that seats 5 |

Man I've wanted a subbie for so long. Prices are ridiculous right now. I keep seeing 06-07 wrx wagons with low miles in Houston in the 14-16 price range...holy shit! There's this 02 wagon in Austin for 8k I'm thinking about looking at...I would just have to use my DD miata as a trade in though...I just don't want to get raped on the trade in:vash:

My good friend lets me drive her LGT most of the time when we take it out. Fucking car runs great, sounds mean, and is practical. I want one for a DD. The WRX's interior is too....boyish for me.

I sold my 02 WRX just last year, I put 111K very hard miles on it. Kept it looking new though, and got 11 grand for it when I sold it. I miss it, never once had a problem. It was a very capable all around car.

Friend of mine moved from here to Idaho. He had a Miata that he was autoxing regularly. Car didn't make sense in Boise. Sold it and bought a WRX wagon. Intake, exhaust, underbody shielding/skid plates and now he does hill climbs and local rally stuff. Pretty cool that he actually uses it as it was meant to be.

i dont believe it made the car any fast or slower, only thing it did was make the idle droop a little on cold start, but after about 3 sec it goes to normal def makes the car more enjoyable to drive tom i sell the mata, make 2-3k and buy uppipe, downpipe, cat back and a tune ill let u guys know if it screws |

i got an injen knock off for 30 bucks off a friend and it brought this car to life.
i lightly roll onto the throttle, and with the music on, can hear the sucking air under the hood, its great ps, my cousin has a legacy gt limited, and his motor bay is 99% identical to mine, so i assume u hear the same sound i do |

you need to retune the car with the new intake do a stage 1 chip makes the car much more fun to drive. open source ecu is great. i know a guy in charlotte nc that tuns these things and for a fee hell send u a tune which u just flash. intakes are useless on these since the turbulance created by stock intake makes the car run much better. buy a front mount from ssautochrome for 299 its a good deal. but u are still gay for selling the miata lol

Front mount on anything smaller than a 30r is FUCKING USELESS and stupid IMHO... Intakes ARE useless and most of the time actually TAKE AWAY a few hp. Atmospheric blow off valves are even worse. *edit: I just realised I came off as an asshole. Didnt mean to, so I apologize:) |

i only put the intake on for a while because not hearing any sound comming from the motor is just wrong... it unnatural. i cant drive without some kinda noise comming from under there. |
