Anybody watch the new show on the HD channel, Secret Club of Speed. The Ferrari show was hilarious and offensive. The track day they had was wet and every other car went off. Most sustaining significant damage. They really looked like rich douchers. Might be super guys in real life but that's not how they came across on the show.
Personally on thetrack days I've done I've only seen one fast guy in a Ferrari. He drives track days all the time. The other 90% are afraid of the cars and don't have a clue how to drive.

I figured as much, from what I understand, those ferrarri's are not as menuverable as alot of people would like to believe, "they steer like bricks" is what I was told with my mom's neighboor with the Ford GT300. Nothing but horsepower.

I'll bet they are relatively bad at autox. Probably perfect for an HPDE or two and a ton of street driving. Thats what Ferrari customers do. They probably tend to laugh at people running around quickly in parking lots.
Now vintage Porsche owners on the other hand. I saw a sweet 930ish 911 awhile back that sounded awesome and simply hauled ***** out of every corner. You could just see it take a set and hunker down and then rocket away. Sweet. I have never personally seen a Ferrari at an AutoX They do look pretty good in Rolex/ALMS though.

Have you heard that 355, 360 and 430 are banned from stock classes (SCCA classing) and in stock form go directly to ASP?
In ASP they might not be weapon to build, but do you really think they are excluded from stock classes because they are bad?
In your part of the woods they may laugh but in California I've seen an Enzo at autocross ...

Relative to say smaller, narrower car costing less than half as much. It will turn some fast time sure, but not as fast as you might think due to setup, width, etc.
Not saying a Mustang will be better by any stretch of the imagination, but it won't be dominant like some would think. My bet is that a Elise/Exige or Caterham will do about as well for instance. Nobody would have posted a pic of a Miata and an Elise/Exige at the same event.

The problem with most Ferraris as delivered is they're setup up for high speed corners, which means they tend to understeer like pigs in low speed (like in AX) corners. When I was heavily into SoloII about 15 years ago a guy we all knew brought his F40 to one of our events. Guy isn't a bad driver, but the car was entirely unsuited to the type of event in stock form. I beat him with my CSP VW Rabbit... by a couple seconds.

I knew a guy in Dallas who bought a wrecked f360 and does all the maintenence himself. He also tracks the thing twice per month or so and the car looks used with scuffs, chips, aluminum tape on a few places, and extra NACA duct, scratched-up wheels...and the guy drives fairly well. Its nice to see Ferraris get properly used.
