Intercooler and Oil Cooling Questions

Wouldn't it be the best route to go with a water to air intercooler instead of an air to air intercooler? The water to air intercooler would be smaller, and I believe it would cooler better. I don't know how I would plumb it though with having a water cooled turbo too. Also, how exactly would I go about with oil cooling of both the turbo return oil and the transmission oil? The water to air intercooler on ebay I saw was this link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Air-T...spagenameZWDVW

Is there oil coolers where I could control the temperature manually that it is cooling? Laptop hookup ones would be best. Manual dial though would be fine.

not worth it

Why is it not worth it?

you can get the same efficiency from air to air and it is a lot less trouble. You will need a separate water reservoir for the water to air intercooler. You dont want to use engine coolant because it is too hot.

Alright, that sounds like a good answer. What about the oil cooling for the transmission and for the turbo return oil?

Transmission doesn't need oil cooling. Cooling turbo return oil is senseless.

Can you not just fit a regular oil cooler? that way you would help reduce engine/turbo oil temps. Easy enough to do, lots of places to get one from.
