Interior beautification opinions needed.

No to dynamat. A few leather parts add maybe a couple pounds. I'm not looking to add the weight of a passenger to it. My wife just bought a new TT and the little leather covered parts have a great look and feel. It's a lot like the redline parts.
I'm rethinking the contrasting tan stitch. I think black leather with a black stitch would be more subtle and just have a nice feel and look.

yes my car is often a pig sty and carpet is also on the list of things to do. I'm thinking an interior upgrade might be a little motivation to keep things cleaner. My 02 Saab Viggen prior to the Miata I kept a whole lot nicer.
I do have a whole stack of projects for the car, head I'm working on, brakes coming, swapping A arms and some others. The interior stuff is easy to tackle though. Should take about an hour to do each part. Easy to find an hour here and there. Some projects are tougher as once started they have to be finished. Much harder to do a 4-8 or 12 hour project with my work hours and need to keep the car on the road.
That black interior car is way too far in my book. I just want to add some nice touches. Was thinking about painting the plastic trim and recovering the door cards. When I saw these leather wraps it reminded me of the new TT which looks really good inside.

I say tackle the carpet first then, it's a big project though, definitely at least a day. I'd give yourself more than an hour for these leather pieces, the instructions have a bunch of warnings about taking your time. I think with black carpet, and all black wrappings on the gauge hood, center console, and radio surround your interior will look very nice. Is the lower part of your dash tan? I forget. See Keith's Targa build, he painted his tan dash, came out very nice.

have only a redline shift boot in black perf with red stitching to match my nardi with same.
the quality is "meh" on the boot for whatever reason. the leather feels dry and papery. it looks ok, but i dunno.
the rest seems excessive. how about some of that 3M carbon stuff on the dash while you're gettin crazy...

Curly, I did install a steering wheel. Bought a Momo Champion from Soflarick. Looks and feels great. Part of my motivation, that and jealousy of how nice the TT is inside, to upgrade the interior a little.
I'm still thinking the leather wraps look good. Go with black stitching in the leather wraps + black carpet. Then I'll see how the tan interior parts look at that point. The bottom 1/2 of the dash, lower interior trim, kickplates, door cards are factory tan. I'll see if they need to be painted or covered in black or some other color once the other stuff is in.
No fake carbon for me. If anything I'd do a microsuede wrap or shoot it with some texture paint or something else funky.

As far as cost goes for the leather gauge hood cover, radio surround, center console, shift and ebrake boot it's a total of $240. From that you can pick from about 15 leathers and 15-20 different matching or contrasting color stitching. That seems fairly reasonable to me. You can also do two toned, striped or other patterns but that's not my style.
Here's a couple other pics of thier stuff.
For NA6c here is a guy at CR that did the Diamond pattern over the center tunnel but used redlines stuff in addition to it.

My interior is blasted...I even bolted the door bars through the carpet, lol. However my car is faster than yours and your girlfriends are making me sandwiches on a regular basis.

Big Burger King 91. It's not a pic of my car but I'll answer the question. BRIDE! That graidated coloring is pretty much their sig + you can see the DE at the end. You must be living in a cave somewhere not to know. (if you've actually been living in a cave I apologize for that comment

The beige leather and woodgrain aren't my style but I put that up as an example of what redline does.
I sent them an email Sunday to let them know I'd rather have black stitching and not the tan. They had already shipped the stuff. Holy hell. I placed the order Friday afternoon and it was made and ready to ship on Saturday. Faack. Hope I like the tan stitch.
