Jeezzz I'm and ******* and a loser haha. I work in a quaint little town called Newfield, NH. That explains all compliance to all rule. I got pulled over for having 20 day plates in my trucks rear window. I fall in line and enjoy the lesser scrutiny from the local cops. I live in Newmarket which has a sign on every road crossing the town line that says "Local traffic laws are strictly enforced".

If they have any of the big items in stock, I would still suggest their product. The cast manifold will probably last a lifetime and their welding on my pieces are like stacked dimes. My intercooler is like a piece of art. Just know what you're getting into and what your time and money is worth. I could have been more reserved in my statements but I'm super bias. i felt like I was somewhat left on the sidelines by a company I threw good old american money at. Like everyone else is mentioning though. ARTech is the *****.

Don't even care. With the attitude and unprofessional bullshit spewed by both of them all over the forums, they'll never see a dime of my money.

There's a fine line between acting like a real human being representing a company and looking like a moron while still representing your company for the worst.

Keith Tanner and Jeremy Ferber @ FM get it right. Chris Knight @ Moss Miata gets it right. Emilio gets it right while even "keeping it real" more than the others. Savington gets it right by simply not sounding like a degenerate mouthbreather. There's a guy on here that works for one of those companies with a build thread that isn't even representing his company, and he manages to communicate in a much more effective and respectful manner despite not even needing to.

It's really not that hard.

I hear you. I've learned quite a bit about where to allocate my funds. Since we're name dropping right now, I should point out a super helpful character throughout my build process.
Brandon Fitch over a Flyin' Miata spent more time on the phone with me than I was worth, haha. At no point was I spoken down too and I asked endless questions. It was so great to explain my exact goals to someone and have them actually understand. I feel I was treated the same as the guy getting a full V8 swap.

Moss Miata is absolutely fantastic!

I got some learnin' from Emilio and Savington on the forums. I really admire their take and influence on the Miata world.

Brandon is good people. Been fun to talk to both times i've dropped in there, despite probably having a mountain of work to get to.

Don't think I ever posted a post dyno picture of the bay.

I also forgot to express the need for more safety.
I've been considering another since my friends blown brake line ate his whole car with fire. OMMMNOMNOMfuckyocar

Flyin' Miata can directly attribute the sales of at least a full 3" stainless exhaust, 2.5 V-Maxx package and a Happy meal to Brandon's help and insight. I'd hire that guy.

Not trying to thread jack MiataKeith but I thought I'd address this briefly.

Actually I have Jake and I believe I recall your ramblings on m.net which got locked IF my memory serves me right. Sorry for your troubles and you are not the only one but few businesses have 100% happy customers and there are people at the exact opposite end of the spectrum. I think in the end LOTS of research including a product or company is key but as long as people are involved there WILL be issues.

MiataKeith keep up the good work and thanks fir your honest experience with BEGI!

MiataKeith - did you make that rad cover? I made a DIY version out of galvanized flashing but my cuts around the hood latch don't look quite as clean as yours.

Very nicely done build.

I drove my '90 through many New Hampshire winters and I got nasty holes in my rocker panels to show for it. Hell, my '07 Forester XT is already bubbling the paint around the rear wheel wells. Please take good care of that car. A clean, low mileage '95 would be a terrible thing to waste.

Turbo was junk and didn't make much power. The turbo wouldn't hit 7PSI open gate.
The turbo is junk* because the wastegate is holding 6.5psi? it would have hit 7psi if you actually pulled to redline. Car made the exact power one should expect at that boost level.

This is the chinacharger after I chopped out the metal BEGI tacked in there for ***** and giggles without telling me.
that divider was there for a good reason, if you think it was for ***** and giggles then I your n00b is showing.

ut why is this thread turning into a bash begi thread? I see nothing from the OP that warrants the ****-storm.

If you wanna bash them for anything, bash them for designing that retarded limp-wristed intake pipe.

* the turbo is junk because it's a shitty cheap turbo and horrible specs for a miata regardless of who sells it.

Brain. I believe he cut the divider off because the FM DP already had one and the two were interfering.

gotcha. It seems the BEGi DP he has/had did not have the extended divider. The turbo was modded to be coupled with the BEGi DP he had, not the inferior casted FM DP he added. So unless it was stated beforehand when he bought the BEGi parts not to add the divider on the turbo (which they do by default IIRC) then there's really no blame to be dealt. Not that he even was, seems everyone else took an inch...

He did mention his plans to use the FM DP and also asked that the BEGI DP not be included, but they wouldn't ship the kit without the DP and they still added the divider.

Nice build and good intro. The only thing I see that you missed is the 6UL vs TRM wheel thread.
