JR headers

a friend asked me about this and I didnt know, He wants to get a JR header, but is wondering since he has the stock intake will the header heat the stock airbox and possibly melt it? They are really close and the stock header has a heat shield on it.

I told him it would probally be okay because when your moving there will be enough air to cool it even if there was a problem. :ugh2:

no, i notcied no difference in underhood temps when i had my JR header. If he's worried get some heat shielding material and wrap the box.

I've got a Racing Beat header and custom heatshield for sale in the classifieds here: https://www.miataturbo.net/forums/showthread.php?t=6094
A pic of it installed here: https://www.miataturbo.net/forums/vb...getimage&id=52

I'll make him a great deal shipped to TN. Underhood temps are lower than stock.
