Wiring on this things a hack job. The rebic and boost controler are all wired into the glove box and is a cluster ****. Gonna need lots of help there. Gonna pick up a manual boost gauge today and pop it in one of the dash air vents just for a temporary clue on what its boosting at. This weekend ill try my best to take off the boost till I can fix all the issues forementioned.
Quick question, is it worth it to swap in a short throw shifter. The stock ones ghetto lookin and the threads for the **** are jacked up. For 50 bucks and a **** it would be much better then it currently is. But if its not worth it then ill make due.

Another quickie question. I was always told that the bov stuttering was a bad thing and it probably needs to be adjusted. In reading I guess it means its probably adjusted too tight? So loosen it off till its letting air out slightly at idle and tighten a turn, or am I all kinds of fucked up?

Interesting looking car. Shame about the engine & electronics...
I interpreted his description of the problem as occurring at the initial transition into WOT, before the turbo as spooled up. If anything, he's probably got way too much fuel, given the look of things. Who knows what that Rebic is up to.
You've gotta be ******* kidding me. I couldn't even get interest in my '92 at $5k, and it has a properly designed engine management system.
Guess I made a mistake in keeping it totally stock-looking. Shoulda gayed it up with a bunch of stickers and a wing, maybe pried a couple of body panels loose. Could have gotten $10k for it I'll bet.

Oh, and just a word of warning in case you didn't pick it up already. Stop driving it. Right now. Those electrics seem like an ape barfed some bullshit onto a car. Your list of what you need is pretty good, good that you're listening.
No need for a new BOV though. Get an MS and run it the way it is.

Bypass valve would have the blow off leading pre turbo?
So with the intake the way it is, whats gonna be the best way to add the filter element? I take it that the big silver dohicky is the MAF sensor? So does it need an adapter on the intake side and some more piping to a filter somewhere, or is there a way to remove it all together? Cars been parked since I drove it home. Gonna stay that way unless I absolutely have to drive it.
So whats the deal with the 5th and 6th injectors? Good? Bad? Pointless? And whats the consensus on the V-mount cooling?
Found some magazine article that made me Lol like a **** today on the car when it was with its previous owner. Should get some laughs. But does give a hair more insight as to what alls on the car.

If you were going to keep the stock ECU, you'd want to plumb the currently open port into a point on the system which is between the compressor inlet and the VAF sensor (see below.)
Bolts. Probably a worm-gear clamp as well.
Close. '90-'93 Miatas used a Volume Air Flow sensor, which is built differently but does essentially the same job. VAF sensors measure the volume of air passing through them by the mechanical deflection of a flapper valve, sort of like how the Bosch mechanical fuel injection systems of the 1970s worked.
If you yank the ECU and install a Megasquirt or similar, it can go away altogether.
Not 100% total crap, but definately one of the less awesome means of delivering additional fuel to a forced-induction engine. There are worse methods, but not many.
Sidebar: How the hell do you plan on getting this car smogged? I mean, I "know a guy", but he'd never let anything like what you've got through.

Gonna get it registered in NC and surpass all smog Woes.
So when I upgrade to bigger injectors, Keep the extra 2, or plug the holes?
I take it with the mega squirt ill be able to ditch the Rebic, but will there still be a need for the boost controller?
Does any one know who makes the 3 gauge pod seen in some of the pictures that goes on the top center of the dash. Wouldnt mind gettin that back for the additional gauges.
Also, while I was out tonight picked up a cheapo boost gauge to play with and see what its boosting at before I start dismantling her. Not gonna install it by any means, but just hook up the line and mess around with it. The best place for the line going to it is gonna be the intake manifold i take it?
Anyone selling a cheap MS and WB?

Ah. GLWT.
Ditch 'em. Maybe install the new IAT sensor in one of the holes, but that's it. Assuming you have the ECU capability to handle it, just a set of 440cc injectors as the primaries.
Yes, the Rebic needs to go away. You have some options for boost control. The Megasquirt does have a built-in EBC function. I've never used myself, but some folks here have. It's allegedly a bit fiddly to tune.
My own personal preference, however, is for the ole' ball-and-spring style mechanical boost controllers. I know, I know- I'm supposed to be Mr. High Tech. For everything there is a place, and in my humble opinion, a good MBC works every bit as well as any EBC, and is about ten thousand times easier to tune. Some folks get hung up on the idea of being able to toggle between "low boost" and "high boost" modes, but isn't that what the throttle pedal is for? Just read here for some important info on signal source placement.
Well, yeah. Or at least, something which is connected to the intake manifold. My personal favorite is to cut the brake booster hose at a point just before the check valve, and install a brass tee there. (The check valve is inside the rubber hose on the driver's side, a few inches before the booster. You can't see it, but you can feel it.)
I just noticed that there appears to be a hole in the hood behind the left headlight. Is that to allow leaves and gravel to fall into the intake and be drawn through the turbo?

**** *************, nothing's wrong with a damn BOV. What's wrong with making a car sound a particular way? Don't make this poor bastard worry about that ****. Is MT now miata.net? Does a BOV sully the purity of your stock exhaust tone? Fu
