Just a thought

I had this thought today and wanted to run it by you guys. This is more of a long term thing but could a person such as myself take the beast of an engine out of my NA body and place it say in the body of an NC. i love the look of the new miata and having a built b6 engine in a new body with say a 6 speed would be, i think a one off car. i understand that this type of thing would take alot of time money and work but right now im looking for proof of possibility.

Anything is possible, but why on earth would you take out a superior motor and replace it with something that has 1/4 less displacement? This is the most pointless idea ever...

SneakyB757 06-12-2010 06:18 PM

no put my engine in the new body. i dont what that crappy 2L

No matter which way you spin this, it is retarded by all means.

No matter how "crappy" the nc engine is by your standards, it is still boatloads better than that 80's technology dinky 1.6.

Fail all around. And don't even get me started on how much work and money this "one off" project would take.
Is it doable? absolutely
smart? hell no

Just my .02

ok ok the topic is here and the thread is way............................................... ........... over here. im simply asking is it at all possible to fit the 1.7L engine from my na turbo, IC and all into the body of an NC. im not concerned about the relationship of the 1.6-8 to the 2.0. im just asking if it could work. stop eating sugar and stay on topic.:giggle:

edit thank you thats all i wanted to know. lol

why the hell not? anything is possible

Practice first. Take a new Camaro or Mustang, and stuff an old flathead V8 in. None of that foofy fuel injection, we want carbs and high-rise manifolds.
