Konig Retrack 15x7.5 - Pics

A few months ago I started a thread about wheel offset + driveability, and from that thread, a few people were interested in the Konig Retrack's I was going to buy. Well the rims and tires are finally mounted, and I'm super happy with them. Fitment is great, they're light, and quite inexpensive. I bough the white color (not fully white, has this pearl sparkle in it). So here's a few pics of they look on the car, and an idea of fitment:

They have a 3" dish.

I went with 205/50/15 because I needed rubber and couldn't afford a bigger tire. Seeing as how they're 7.5" wide, you have lots of options.

Did you need to roll the lips with that tire size?

slutz4 10-07-2009 11:50 AM

I kinda dig them. I think theyd grow on me the more I saw them

They don't photograph properly, they're a titanium burn. In person they go from blue to purple to a bronzy type color.

Nope. Tons of room.

naarleven 10-07-2009 12:35 PM

Personally love the wheels. Remind me of OG WRC cars.

you dont know much about miatas, do you? i smell insta-ban if you dont read forum rules.

anyways, they are 205/50/15 tires on 15x7.5 +32 wheels. no, you do not need to roll your fenders. people use 15x9 +36 wheels w/ 225/45/15 tires without rolling.

Uh, that's the specs for a 6ul 15x9 (+36) so with 225 yeah on an NA you'd actually be rolling that.

Oh I'm such a newb and know nothing of these strange little Hiroshima products... :vash:

BAHKACK lands a solid right to Urban's chin, shrugging off Urbans jabs. Looks like Urban might have felt that one. Will he be able to come back swinging or is this fight over?!?

+ what forum rules did the newb BAHKACK break anyway? Damn. Way harsh throwing out the ban word for him asking a simple and possibly relevant question.

If you knew, why did you ask?

I run a 225/45-15 nt-01 on an 8 +30, 12.25ish all around. Unknown(for now) spring rate. It rubs like a fuck in front on the top bolt holding the plastic liner, it rubs the inner fender at the top without the liner, it rubs the top of the liner, and sometimes it grabs the lip and bends the fold down, I have to knock it back up after autocrosses. This is in autocross only, heavy lock situations, heavy cornering, and throw in some bumps for good measure. We'll see how I make out with heavier spring rates, real bump stops, etc. I'm thinking of running the 275/35-15 hoosier A6s next year, good luck to me!

I knew the 15x9 that he threw at me (pretty easy that's Emilio's wheel) but no, I did not know if the 205 on the 7.5 rubs or where - I suspected it did not but don't know his ride height (shoulda asked) so wasn't sure. Lot of variables involved - some 205s are wider than others. Brian told me that the Retrack would rub even with 195/55 - starting not to believe him.

Yes, good luck with the hoosiers.

Definitely no rubbing. I have KYB GR2s, Tein S-tech springs, and Fatcat motorsports bump stops. I suppose if the car was slammed there might be an issue...
