Koyo or Trackspeed rad for street use
Pretty soon I'm going to be purchasing a new radiator, and I'm contemplating which one to buy. I'm between the koyo 37 mm and the trackspeed monster. Right now this is a daily driven car and it will be for at least the next year or two. I will be doing some autocross and eventually track days.
I know that the Koyo will be enough for almost all street driving conditions, but this third time around building my turbo setup, I've been building/buying everything to make my car ready for the track eventually. I dont want to have to swap out a new radiator again when i start going to the track, and lose some money reselling the koyo. Also, Savington told me that the trackspeed rad wouldn't overcool my car as long as i have a functioning thermostat. So, should i buy what would work for me for now, or buy once and never have to buy again? |

Your rad comes with the radiator cap and drain plug correct? And I just re-read that it will fit with large sway bars and oem fan, thats a big +. When are you expecting more in stock, and how do i pre-order?

the 37mm has been fine for my semi-stock power. but if you KNOW you will be tracking it in a year or two and you don't want to buy another radiator, then your question isn't really a question after all...
And yes, overcooling won't be a problem as long as your thermostat is working. |

Hey mr gay ball cupper wannabe stop being jealous because you will never Be cool enough to contemplate buying a radiator that is this badass.

Well considering you apparently don't know whether you're buying the TS radiator or the koyo... how can i possibly know whether or not to agree with your assertion on whether my coolness rating is above the required threshold for radiator badassness? Unpossible, I believe. :-)
If you're setting it up to be track ready, get the TS. Period. |
The truth is I did need a couple people to push me into getting the ts rad, so I'm gonna :). Thank you devin Mac.

I'll be out in your neck of the woods around Christmas, and can retroactively cup your sack at that point in time.
In the meantime, cup it yourself, roll them around a bit, and picture my avatar while you order that bad boy. |
