Default my miata can't hold it's bladder

OK so my car is dumping water when ever I fill the rad up.

Here is what going on,

I just replaced my water pump again cause water pump died after the bottom half of my rad froze, during that funky snow ****.

Anyone know of something I may have missed/fucked up. BTW i did the same thing I did last time, which worked perfectly before the freeze. No extra bolts no nothing.

Its not a small drip either is it is a ******* flood damn opening up.

The reason I replaced it was I was eating thru coolant. I had replace the valve cap cause it was bad, but I was still loosing coolant and getting a nice hiss from the motor, around the alt/ water pump area. When I replaced the water pump the old seals were shot so I it seem like the water pump was the leak, oh I did use all new seals.

Its a new Napa waterpump. Also when the flood gates open it doesn't leak from the front of the waterpump but all the water rolls off the oil pan, so I am guessing it leaking from the back, maybe

this is not the time to be having car issues with finals.

BTW my car just clocked 100k about 2 weeks ago... my cars getting old..

Any help would be great thanks...

have you checked the small hoses that run from the back of head to oil cooler to throttle body to t-stat housing? o-ring on mixing manifold tube? mixing manifold tight and sealed to waterpump? t-stat housing o-ring good where it seals against the head?

Have you opened your hood and looked at the motor while the engine was running? Should be pretty easy to see where it's coming from. Hint: you're looking for where it's wet. Take a flashlight and shine it in there... the engine isn't that big.

There are several places in the back of the block above the transmission where it could be coming out. There is a small coolant plug near the CAS if you've got a 1.6. The rear hose for the block inlet, and the small hose that feeds the heater core.

On the intake manifold above the fuel rail, you've got the fitting that lets coolant pass through the manifold to warm it up.

The intake manifold gasket itself has a special passage in it (blocked off on the manifold side) for coolant to flow through on non-Miatas. If your intake manifold gasket has failed, it will leak water like crazy down the side of the block behind the starter motor.

Just behind the alternator on the side of the block is a large coolant passage with a rubber cap on it. I've never heard of one failing, but the might.

There's a big rubber nipple/bung cap that comes on the car OE at the back of the head, intake side. I think it's the coolant source for the OE turbos. That's a good place for all the coolant to leak out if the rubber cap is cracked/missing. Bottom arrow.

OK I will hunt down a few of those spots.

I forgot to say one thing...

It dumps it out so fast I have not even tried to start the car yet.

This all happened as soon as I swapped the waterpump so either I did something wrong, or something broke at the same time

Well *cross my fingers* i believe I found the issue. I just re-installed the waterpump and the gasket had folded in on itself and wasn't sitting right. I just re-installed it with waterpump/t-stat RTV so I will know if it fixed it in few hours.

Thanks for all the help. I checked all them before I re-pulled the waterpump
