I've gone through 3 batteries on mine, but that's because I'm fucking retarded and let the fucker sit there with the battery tender unplugged.

80K in a battery? So...

johndoe 05-07-2009 01:01 PM

It all sounds like regular maintenance and user error. Although when I had a 1.6 one of my rear calipers froze because the parking brake bracket on the caliper became corroded.

So riddle us this....... Are "wear" items not supposed to wear?

cueball1 05-07-2009 02:42 PM

When the water pump went and was replaced did you change the timing belt?

Machismo 05-07-2009 02:48 PM

Nope, he'll learn that through his "process".

Dear Endat,
You're a ------. Don't ever post here again unless you can learn to somehow break the space-time continuum and stop acting like such a handball bottom pig. I understand that you're a sloppy sow and need discipline , but we have better things to do with our time than read inherently stupid bullshit then read additional bullshit supporting your original bullshit subsequently subjecting the the holy-brain trust of this forum to your wasted bandwidth. Please reevaluate your failure of a life and post again when you can stop wearing Ed Hardy t-shirts.

Love,
Your God

Dear Huslter, Fuck you.. i didnt even read your post :)

looks like we have some keyboard thugs here... NOOOO i even used my old gaskets and hand tightened all the bolts :jerkit:

of course i did, it would be stupid not to... I even replaced the woodruff key and timing gear while i was there.. loctite 660 and 243 in the right places off the top of my head ;)

firedog25 05-09-2009 03:24 PM

Oh, it also serves to say I've gone through those 3 batteries in 4 years and approximately 5k miles.
