bryantaylor 02-21-2009 06:02 PM

you dont need it, i dont have any on mine.

SKMetalworks 02-21-2009 06:18 PM

are you sure? whats it for in the first place?

olderguy 02-21-2009 07:20 PM

It is there to catch the engine if the mount rubber shears off.

NA6C-Guy 02-21-2009 08:02 PM

Its there to make you have to remove the engine to put them back in when you forget them the first time around. :vash:

SKMetalworks 02-21-2009 08:47 PM

so you guys think i should put them on then?

supra441979 02-21-2009 08:49 PM

hustler 02-22-2009 09:25 AM

I'll look for my extras today.

I have solid mount and don't run them, as long as you have good mounts I wouldn't worry about it.

bryantaylor 02-22-2009 01:58 PM

there is a subframe under the motor anyway, where the hell is the motor going to go IF a mount brakes and that metal bucket isn't there?

NA6C-Guy 02-22-2009 05:05 PM

Its not like the oil pan isnt already an inch away from the subframe. Only way it might do any noticable damage is if you had diff mounts stretched like a $5 whore, and loose PPF bolts, and 2 broken engine mounts, and it was able to freely move around. Unlikely.

and you fliped the car with no hood on and you un-bolted the engine from the trans in mid air.
