Low oil pressure after overheating?

I left my car idling for a while and it overheated. I noticed that the oil pressure was lower than normal afterwords but assumed it was coolant in the oil causing it since the head gasket blew. I replaced the head gasket but my oil pressure is still much lower than it was before overheating. I know its not a bad reading because I have lifter tick now as well which would indicate low oil pressure. Anyone know what could cause this? Is it save to drive about 10 psi lower than 'normal' at idle?

I would pull it now before you toast your crank.

It's not THAT low though, the lifters are only ticking slightly and its a little under '30' instead of a little over 30. Also wouldn't it just wear the bearings and not the crank?

Your engine dude.

Your engine is hurt and is most likely on borrowed time, how much coolant got in the oil?

try an oil change and see if that fixes anything, cars should have enough residual oil left on the bearings for 2-3 minutes of run time before serious damage occurs

What is the actual idle pressure? What brand/weight oil are you using?

From your earlier posts, are you saying it's 30 at idle? Did you change oil weights after you did the head gasket?
