Default Adjusting Timing At 1100rpm?

I know the car up to temp with the GND and TEN shortedneeds to be idling at 850rpm but just found out trying to reserch this question my ISC must be bad (noticed it before driving the car but didn't know what it was) as I can't adjust the idle. The screw does nothing basicly. I just put in a new CAS and the car is idling at 1100rpm with the GND and TEN shorted and about 900 with it out. Should I adjust the timing with GND and TEN shorted (900rpm) or not (1100rpm) and do I need to compensate for either?

With it shorted. If the screw on the TB does not adjust the idle, the get a new bypass valve before you do anything.

If its MSPNP, check IAC DC's under Idle Control. I had to lower my minimum values.

Uhm, Spooky, if it were an MSPNP, then the diagnostic connector TEN pin would have absolutely zero effect, as it's not connected to anything. Ignition timing would be locked by changing a software setting in MegaTune, specifically, by entering a value of 10 into the "Fixed Angle" box under "Spark Settings."

@Joe: thanks for the correction. Confused as I was messing with this myself. Totally different ECU thus totally unrelated. Sorry.

I still have a stock ECU with an FMU. Thanks for the replies but figured out what i needed to do in order to set it with a higher rpm.
