Massive loss of pressure to the clutch

For the past couple of days ive been getting air in my clutch line. When i bled it nothing happened it didnt get any better. Its been getting worse and worse, when driving home yesterday on the highway it felt like it was not there at all, but when driving around town constantly pumping it feels fine. My question is how can i determine where the leek is coming from? The slave is only about a year old with around 12,000 miles.

Unfortunatly sometimes the slave will leak air in and not fluid-out. If you're not losing fluid from the resevoir then I'd suspect the slave. I had a replacement go in about the same time as yours. I went to NAPA and got a rebuild kit for around $10. That way if it wasn't the slave I could reuse those parts later and I was only out a ten-spot.

I replaced my master when my clutch went out because when I depressed the clutch i could actually hear air bleed off under the dash from where the seal was bad through the firewall.

when mine was losing pressure like that, it was the clutch master. If I pumped enough it would build up pressure, but it eventually left me stranded.

im not losing fluid in the resevoir, so ill pick up a rebuild kit tomorrow, i may just order a master as well just in case

my resevoir was full too... I'm to lazy to screw with rebuilds when a replacement didn't cost too much.

I rebuilt my master instead of replacing it.
