Mazda 323 Rods on ebay

Okay I have seen on ebay a person that is selling however, I am unsure if these would be similar to the GTX rods I have been reading about.

Would appreciate if someone with true in-depth knowledge could let me know if this is good deal or even worth investing in. I plan on running 300+HP and want ensure there is no internal failure albeit the rods, pistons and what have you.

Thanks!!

Buy a set of ETD rods if you want to run 300hp.

no, those are not the turbo gtx rods. but they do pop up on ebay sometimes when someone is parting their gtx.

I looked at BPT rods at one point, but am a little unclear on the details now. Either GTX rods or GTR rods (don't remember which) are exactly the same as all other B6/BP rods. I'm assuming it was GTX here...
The other motor, which I assume to be GTR, had big, heavy rods that will work in all other B6/BP motors but are heavy as shit.

Get some brand new aftermarket forged rods.

you would be incorrect, they are not the same http://members.aol.com/solomiata/MX5Engine.html

Ok, well then switch my assumptions around. Either way, they suck compared to what's available inexpensively now.

I sold a set of the bpt rods a few years ago for $250

We had a guy trying to sell brand new GTR rods for $400 right around the time ETD and CAT came out with their forged offerings. He finally sold them for $275 on ebay earlier this month. Most are not going to buy sintered rods for $250-300 when you can get forged units for a little more.

I sold them for $250 shipped to Europe, but I do agree with you. Aftermarket rods have gotten cheaper lately due to more companies making them and increasing competition.
