Me = Epic Fail
Well, I was installing my suspension this weekend- until I over torqued the piston rod nut on the front right shock.
I got to see a sweet geyser as shock abosorber oil sprayed all over my engine bay, though. Is the oil in a shock corrosive? Should I get it off my paint ASAP? Its raining now, so its hard to tell exactly where it sprayed. Dammit. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2370/...g?v=1208105384 |
Also- where's the nearest place to Boston that would carry Tokico Shocks?
I might just order one from Moss. |
shox.com carries tokico.
I wouldn't leave any oil on my paint, it's not worth risking it eating your paint off. |
ouch.
I know someone with a nice set of oem shocks available, only ~150k and completely blown. |
shock oil is just regular oil. shouldn't eat your paint any more than motor or trans oil.
