1994 Miata airbag modules
So the other day I was driving my car and a few blocks from home my air bag light began flashing a code 52. After some researching it seems that there are four capacitors inside the airbag module that **** the bed. I began trying to find a replacement airbag module and found some used and new ones. I didn't want to waste any time with a used one as mine only has 84k miles of use on it. I did find a new unit on ebay for $375 dollars. After even more searching I got the part number and ended up looking it up on rock auto. They claimed they had 10 in stock at the time and they it was a wholesale closeout. The price? $45! I went ahead and ordered it and it just arrived today. I haven't replaced it yet but its a brand new part in a mazda box dated November of 1999 with the correct part number (GA2A-67-7F0A).
Long story short if someone searches an airbag code 52 hopefully they will come across this thread and it will be of use to them. Rock auto shows they now have 9 left.
(I'll probably post this on m.net and CR.net just because I feel like a large portion of guys here don't have airbags, because track cars.)

I had found the ford part number too (F2AF-14B056-BD) but when I googled it and even looked it up on rock auto I couldn't find anywhere that had it. Evidently they used the ford module in multiple ford products in the mid 90's but I guess there aren't any new modules with a ford part number to be found.
