12 hours between coats, and I let it sit for about a week before the final wetsand and polish.

As for prep and all that I sanded with whatever the paint directions recommended. Sanded past the clear and partially into the primer below. It pretty much looked like the car in the Honda Tech thread. That took a few days and was probably the hardest and most stressful part. Didn't have time to do engine bay paint unfortunately. I figured I'd do it whenever I have the engine out in the near future. Probably to do a mild build. Doors are painted though, I couldn't live without that.

Vinyl had crossed my mind prior to doing the paint after seeing that flat black miata and the white bmw. Decided against it because I couldn't really find any writeups and I have zero experience and knowledge about the process.

BTW - speaking of things flexing and cracking, how's the boat paint expected to fare on the bumpers?

I wish that GV knock off thread appeared before I bought mine : [

I was curious about that too so I took a bit of rubber and painted it. Seemed to hold as I flexed it a bit. This paint is pretty awesome so far.

Can you tell us which rollers and brushes you used? And did you have any rust to sand down?

Foam brushes and high density foam rollers and no rust.

Awesome job. I have my car primered right now. Trying to get the guts to try to paint it back white. Kind of scared though. I looked at some of the premixed paint at O'Rilleys that come by the quart. Not sure which route I want to take

Nice work man, looks good.

how is this holding up? I have success with rattle cans, but rolling would cut down on the fumes so I will probably try this... worst case I sand and repaint.

are you aware of anyone that has attempted to clear over these rolled paint jobs? would be difficult I would think but probably give near professional end reults with the right amount of wet sanding.
