Miata > Mach 1 mustang
 
So i made 3 runs with a mach 1 last night. First run i won by about 1 1/2 cars, second was closer to 3 cars third was about the same. Each run was from a dig and we went about a quarter. So much for american muscle.

From a dig, that's pretty good. The Mach1 runs alot more tire in the back and is pretty good out of the hole. I ran one from 60-110 a few times a few months ago. I was behind him on the freeway and he gunned it, and I went into 3d from 5th and started pulling on him, and had to keep letting off the gas to keep from getting too close. Did this 2 times, then the 3d time I just stayed in 5th and he got a car or two on me, but over 100 I started to pull him back in. This was at 120whp, non-IC.

Good kill. I never tried to run from a dig on the stock 1.6 diff, but with the 1.8 rear I won't be as worried.

So I got this guy who works next door with a mustang V6 (the previuos body style) whos constantly asking to run with me. Im not one for street racing but how do you guys think I would do against him? Im running 8psi on a GT2854. He says he got some mild performance work done, I couldnt tell you what.

There's this total bullshitter at work who talks about a different car he has every week. Last week he claimed to have an SRT 4 that he just put a "Stage 2" kit on. So I asked him about it and he says "yeah...it's goin in tomorrow for the Stage 3" so I'm like "I never saw it, what color is it?" and he says "Flat Black." A) if someone claims to have a flat black, like primered black SRT4, that goes in and out of the shop every other day, they're full of shit, 2) anyone who refers to an upgrade as a "stage" they don't know what the F talking about, and D) don't ever try to bullshit someone who knows about cars like I do, cause you'll just make yourself look like an idiot. That was last week...
So this week he says he bought a 5.0 last Friday, and over the weekend he put a Cobra R intake on it with GT-40 heads, and before he bolted on his imaginery parts he says he ran it at some drag strip and it went 13.5. So I told him to line up with my buddy's 5.0 which has full exhaust, gears, and an "E" cam...he says "I won't even waste my time." So I go..."oh yeah, how bout runnin my miata...for $100" and he's like "I don't know man...I gotta finish hooking up my nitrous first, then we'll talk." What a smacked ass. I don't understand the purpose of being such a bullshitter. Real easy solution...buy a car that's not fake, make it faster than it was when you bought it, race people and throw some money down, lose to a miata, pee your pants, cry your eyes out, and keep your mouth shut.

My friend with an 07 GT refuses to race me. I pulled up next to him after this meet we went too and im like "fucking race me bitch", then I revved at him. He tells me "I dont want you to lose to bad". Now you're probably thinking he raced me at this point, but no he didn't. We just continued on to his house with me following him and him flooring his car every now and again to listen to his exhaust.

At least at 6psi he stood a chance, im supposed to get my boost controller this week and at 12psi I doubt it period.

Thats his car, and dont worry its just a riced up 07 GT with an autotragic.

Not to take the other guys back, as he really does sound like a bullshitter....BUT MOPAR offers factory "Stage" upgrades for the SRT4. The first year didn't get any of them, but the 2nd and last year came stock with the stage I and a LSD. You could opt to get a stage II and a stage III, not sure of what is offered from the factory beyond that.

Primer/flat black is for ricers, too. Anything non-rice that is flat black makes me want to puke.

All I know is that these American "Muscle" cars are really heavy and not too fast. My stock '96 beat a couple Camaro RS's and I was always confused as to why? I mean they're V6s, but I guess you just can't mess with Japanese Muscle!

Stages do exist for Mopar...which is a rare instance of a "stage" upgrade.

Lol, I know right? About the people talking about cars in the stages and shit. Whenever people saw my miata they would say something like, "what stage is it? 2 or 3?" I always had the same blank stare whenever people say stuff like this.

As for talking bullshit.... I have a friend (who I don't really like or consider my friend, but he is friends with my friends.... for some reason:confused:) who is the biggest shit talker ever. He has a 06 gt with a whipple supercharger. He thought he was the shit when he had just a tune, intake and exhaust on his mustang. (So you can imagine what a supercharger did to his ego...)

First off, he doesn't pay for shit... second off he doesn't know shit..... and third off he can't drive for shit ( and its AUTOMATIC :bowrofl:)

He got the whipple put on and I love to mess with his mind. I'll say "ya man you run any new Z06's yet?" He'll say something like ya, I'm right at their door till like 160. His car is a fucking boat... like 3700 lbs. with around 440 whp. My 320 whp MR2 would tear him a new one. A Z06 would absolutely rape him.

If you didn't post it, I was going to. When an SRT4 owner talks about "stages", they mean the Mopar upgrade packages, which are offered in stages.

Drewkeen: The 04-05 got only the S1 injectors, but not the S1 PCM.

the question might be slightly better but still WAYY dumb. different size turbos are efficient at different boost levels and put out different power/torque....there are millions of examples but ill go with a true story from personal experience: on my wrx with a tdo6h 20g 8cm turbo i made 30whp more on 4 psi less than with a td05 18g 7cm...also when i was running only 9psi on the 20g due to being on stock injectors and waiting for 750's to come in, i ran a guy pushing 20psi on a stock td04 and absolutely shat on him. his response was "9psi????? WTF!!!".....simply put, a turbo that flows alot more air doesnt need to be pushed as hard as a less efficient one to net same results.. asking about boost usually doesnt result in any useful info.
