Default Re-bushing lower shock bushes....on teh cheap!

If you were paying attention in my "shock nuts suck nuts" thread you would remember that i am planning on rebushing my lower shock mounts.

I MAY still try the boat roller thing but whilst browsing energy suspensions site i spotted some hour glass shaped bushings. I checked summit at they were only $3.39 a pair so i orderd 2 pairs of 5/8 ID and 3/4ID bushes

After checking the bilsten metal insert fits loosley in the 3/4" ID bushings. I am not sure if i trust this

They fit! I was able to press just the lone bushing in by hand with some effort and vaseline :gay:. I can see that the hourglass shape on the outer of the bushing doesnt not match the smallest ID on the shock as there is some minor "collapsing" at the center of the bushing.

I will report back later on this week once i get the metal inserts in there.

Summit part numbers
5/8" ID black bushes ENS-9-8107G
3/4" ID black bushes ENS-9-8108G

5/8" ID red bushes ENS-9-8107R
3/4" ID red bushes ENS-9-8108R

(i've painted my bilsteins black)
