Default Torsen swap....now leaking fluid everywhere

Well, I did my torsen swap a few weeks back, now I'm leaking a lot of differential oil all over the place...I can't see where it is coming from but its enough that it being 'thrown' on the muffler and on the cover for the fuel filter, its on the passenger side, any ideas? Its a good amount of oil.

did you replace the seals where the stub shafts go? acutally, you need to pinpoint it.

there are only a few places:
seal for pinon
seal for axles
where the two halves meet
drain plug
fill plug

My bet is an axle seal. I had one start leaking on the R package a few years back and it was spitting fluid in the way you describe.

I had a leaking problem on my first Torsen swap. I got the diff from a junk yard and the dick **** before hand over tightend the drain plug and cracked the housing.

Did you do a flush and fill? Maybe it's just the filler or drain plug?

Seals?

Sounds like seals to me for it to be "flinging" all over the place like that. Clean it off and go for a short drive again to figure it out.

I'd bet it is the axle seals...the guy I bought it front said I might want to do it..*sigh* lol

can I get the axle seals from mazda?

Its just on the right side, but its fluid is on the chassis...control arms, muffler...so thats why I think its on the side...b/c the axle seem to be throwing it around.

I did change the fluid, I put redline in, it was clean when I bought it

EDIT: I just used some degreaser and washed it down, I'm going to take it for a drive around the block see what comes out of it.
How bad is it to run around low on oil?

well I swapped out the seal last night and I don't seem to have any fluid...I've let it sit with paper underneath it to see if I can track the leak if its still there.

It wont leak unless the axle is turning. Go for a drive and see itf it is still leaking.

well, I drove it today, it seems to have stopped leaking...I'll check in a day or so. I gotta finish completely degreasing it so I can see if its actually not spraying everywhere.
