MN roads = Potholes. Taking bets on what I bent..

So I hit a pothole last night big enough to eat my car. I came up on it thinking it was like any other and I could dodge it, yeah no. It had a elevated leading edge so it masked just how large and in charge it really was, plus it was the depth of a pop can (I made sure measuring it with my beer can at the time). I know for sure I have a flat spot on the inside edge of the wheel, and a wobble on the wheel as well, question is, why is the wheel sitting 1/4" back, and why is it toed out enough to require my wheel to be at a 35* angle to the right to go straight?

I'll be pulling things off tonight after wark, taking bets on what you think it might be!

Upper control arm, they like to bend. Could be something in the steering too. Just be worried if the long bolt holding it to the subframe is hard to slide in with the new control arms, which usually means you've tweaked the mounting points on the subframe. As long as an alignment shop can get good numbers, you're okay though. My curb hit broke the end link too.

What I remember from track side bending: any control arm, steering rod, the long bolts, alignment bolts. Subframes not so much, unless something hits the subframe. Oh, and tie rods and the same thing in the lower control arm. Uprights not so much.

If the upper is bent I'll be displeased, I was planning on using them since the boots are torn and balljoints are questionable on my spares..

Looks like it was just the wheel, and the alignment bolts gave way enough to let the arm slide back. Tossed on a new wheel and getting an alignment Friday, will know more then..
