Money Shift?
So I let a buddy drive my car this am. Responsible guy, decent driver, cool morning... ugh. Not again!
We are heading along in a straight line at maybe 60mph in 5th. I tell him to drop to 4th and stand on it for second- experience the rush. Well, he downshifts to 2nd... the engine screams and I yell "Clutch!!!" For maybe 2 seconds it seemed to exceed 8k. My tach is not super accurate so maybe less rpms. The car is running/ idling/ etc just fine now. Think I'm ok? Or is it time to start buying parts for the spare motor I'm eventually going to build anyway. |
It's fine. Revlimit is based on the safe to hit numbers, not absolute max.

The name of this thread confuses me.
Also, yes, I think you'll be alright. |
I thought I spun a bearing while doing the same thing. Instead the springs on my clutch fell out.
