more speed!!!!
more speed = more angle :) |
More Speed does not equal more angle?
Sucks about running out of angle because of control arm clearances. Sounds like you need spacers. I need to go to Old Dominion some time soon. Even if I don't drift... need to get the damn car up to par. She flexes soooo much, her spine is kinda brokted...need frame rails badly. |
more speed gives you the ability to hold a much longer drift at a more crazy angle, as well as earlier entry points at crazier angles.
for example, at the last part, if he was going faster, he could have connected the huge "J" turn at that end, if it was part of the course? anyway great vid, keep it up :) |

What does more angle have to do with him being able to connect the j turn??
It's kinda moot, because we've already discussed that he's finding himself at opposite lock at some not so good angles. In any case, speed does not equal angle. More often the faster cars are holding shallower angles. Having the momentum to carry through at a good angle does help come from speed, but they aren't the same. |

Links bad

pretty cool, but that car is rice as fuck

rappadan, yea, i probably would have a better idea of the track if i was actually at the track, or if i knew the set course you were following
MX_eva yea i realized that after i watch it a second time. Maybe i should have reworded my statement. but, its not in the matter on what car is faster, its on entry speed. cars with lower power need to enter at a high rate of speed in order to do those amazing drifts, but since the car enters at such a high speed, the car must start earlier. In competitions, is not about speed entirely, but the angle you take and the style, as well as entry points; Speed tops it off. Without speed, you cant enter the drift early, and leave a lot "going straight" as you approach the corner. Too much though, and... well, you know what happens. thats why japanese drifters are "giri giri" with their drifting. i say, its easier to explain with a real situation than in words. body reactions understand what to do next. |
Haha, Dan I don't expect you'll get much support for your dragon vinyl. The car is pretty balls besides that. I'm pretty sure he initially did it just as a joke, or something because his friends payed for it?? Anyway, I think Dan only keeps it on there to set himself different.

Nice pics

If any of you all saw the vinyl you would crap your pants, its over 5 layers thick. Its bad ass. Drifting is all about style and having that on the car makes me stand out. Ask anyone in my area. This shits bananas!
