shake the shit out of it, like your girlfriend.

Get rough, don't be a girl.

My motor was a bitch and a half to get seated properly. I think putting the motor in took me longer than it did to build it.

Don't tighten anything. Either get the bolts started to the block first and use the slot in the subframe as your last mount to go in. OR drop the engine down, put the mounts in the subframe and maneuver the block to line up with the mount holes. Besides black magic and wizardry, those are you're only options.

I was standing on the motor jumping around and no luck. I'm going back out in a bit to keep trying

Maybe you should take a good 6-months to a year to venture into an establishment called a "gym". These establishments feature dense, heavy objects which you can utilize to increase strength and possibly produce a little test so not only will you be able to get those motor mounts out next summer, but your balls might drop too.

Good luck!

the slot side goes in last...bolt the bracket to the motor on the slot side last.

LOwer the engine into place with the Passenger side bracket on the eingine.. Remove the drivers side bracket from the block. . Lower it into the subframe hole. Put the Nut on the Stud... to hold that side of the engine steady and in place.

Then lower the engine down further to align the drivers side bracket. Starting with the stud in the subframe,. then align the bolts to the block.

Goodlucl. lTilting the trans up and down will be necessary , but its not impossible

+1 on putting in the non-slotted side first. Otherwise, you just have to work it to get it in. I am used to this, due to the effort it takes to fit my massive penis into even Amazonian proportioned women. Having the car on stands helps so you can get underneath. I leave the PPF on the diff and that is usually part of the PIA.

Taking off the motor mount on one side is a good idea too, might try that next time.

When I dropped another engine in, I dropped in the engine without the motor mounts and got the tranny aligned on the ppf with a bolt to hold it on. After that I went for the motor mounts, basically move the engine up a tad with the engine hoist and was able to get to a point were I could drop them into the subframe part, and each slide I would slowly work the bolts in on the motor. Had to slowly raise\lower the engine to work the bolts into the engine\motor mount side, evntually it worked out.

Yes you to muscle to move the engine around to get the mounts in, if you can get another pair of working hands to help out that may also benefit you.

its a lot easier to put the trans on the motor, but leave the head off. That's how you win at life. It also makes torquing the head studs much easier.

I finnaly got it. After shaking the engine and standing on it. I finnaly decide to get off and get a drink and as I was stepping off I fell into place. Next time I'll try the placing the mount on the subframe then bolting it to the motor
