Ms

someone is offering megasquirt I, with harness and IAT sensor, for just over $300. should I go for it, even tho turbo might not get done before a long time?

Is it worth squirting a n/a car and will it give any benefits besides being able to dump the maf sensor?

thanks:)

Modded for a miata for just over $300 with the a miata PNP harness or what? You could buy all of the pieces from DIYautotune brand new for that price unless it is a PNP solution.

not the pnp, i have '94 1.8

cjernigan 07-01-2007 05:25 PM

I know you didn't mean the MSPNP that diy sells. There are other ways to make the MSI PNP, which is why i asked how it was setup.

k my bad, it's not set up yet, still brand new. this is what he's offering:

Long as he has done the miata mods that's a good price for that setup, the IAT sensor is just a bonus. You'll have to wire it in youself but that's easy. Long wiring harness too so you can put it wherever you want.

last silly question of the day: what are the miata mods he should have done with it?

That's a great deal, i think that would cost a little over $400 from DIY for all that. Do the mods yourself, they're not hard. ask him what version the board is. v3 or v2.2

magnamx-5 07-01-2007 09:03 PM

yes if you trust yourself with a soldering iron MS is simple and effective i think they made 10-12 whp with just MS and no maf.

Those are the mods you want. You can do them yourself very easily. Even if you had to get a little electronics shop to do it for you for a couple bucks it would be worth it. Those directions are all you'll need along with the megamanual.

Oscar 07-02-2007 12:43 PM

I would have bought it, but as I said, someone beat me to it and the guy just sold it..
