My car makes me smile.

Finally got the rest of my suspension stuff installed today. Besides the usual creaks, groans, rattles, etc. that come with a 165k chassis, my car is finally at a point where I'm happy...for now. It now handles the way the speed would indicate it should.

I was beginning to wonder why I spend so much effort on the car, but after setting the ride height and going for a spin, it all came back to me. :bigtu:

Yaaaay! I needa do something about the stock suspension on mine.

I wished I only needed 8psi to keep me satisfied. Lucky you. :D Congrats.

I went to Atlanta and back in mine today. 15psi does it for me
What was your final suspension set up? And why didn't you come over and use the lift. :slap:

PS, feel free to donate anything left over... :)

8psi will keep me going until my house deal goes through, and I have a real garage to work in ;) EBC is in, I just haven't tweaked or tuned it yet. I'm resisting the bug for more boost as long as I can; the clutch isn't rated for much more than ~200 ft-lbs at the flywheel, so it's a slippery slope with upping boost.

I ended up with FCM sleeves/perches/mounts/stops with 300/220 springs with an NB front sway and no rear. I set it for the same ride height as before for now, just so alignment can wait until the spring.

I did the job piecemeal, because I didn't have any large chunks of time to donate to working on it. That's why I did it in my little garage on jack stands. Plus, it gave me a chance to try out my new jack...what a beast! Ben, if you want some FCM bumpstops, I have a spare set of both the 46mm and 54mm bumps.

When I removed the shocks, it turned out one of the rear shocks had indeed blown the cap loose and leaked all the oil, as I had feared. Thankfully, I have a spare set of R-pkg Bilsteins, so I just used one of those rears. Worked great!

Where did you find the bilsteins at? I was considering going to mazda and seeing if they were still able to get them in new condition.
