Use Teflon Paste and make sure the fittings are nice and snug. This are NPT fittings.. They won't leak as long as the surfaces are clean, you use Teflon paste.

Joking aside.. 99% of our business is in the USA. Our team knows how to speak American.

It's true. When I done did ordered mah rods frem dem dey understood me reel gud like.

I'm going to run by homo depot after work and pick up this Teflon paste.

jayc72 02-26-2010 05:01 PM

Try an autoparts store. I don't think the home depot will have the automotive stuffs.

What size and threadpitch are those fittings? I'm going to replace the one that's leaking on the fuel feed.

M-Tuned 02-26-2010 05:13 PM

3/8npt for the 2 feed ends.

I've personally had good luck with JB weld and bad luck with teflon anything.

Just like Patsmx5 or whatever his name was said, JB-weld and joint compound are completely different from Teflon products. Their purpose is to lubricate the threads so you can mash them together more; the sealing is done completely by the threads. So if Teflon goo (which is better than tape because any excess oozes out as you thread it in, you can use too much Teflon tape) isn't working, you most likely have damaged threads. So you're doing the right thing by buying a new fitting. If it continues to leak however, you can clean up those threads by getting a tap and tapping it further, as long as the fitting (which will now thread in further) doesn't interfere with anything, or doesn't bottom out.

Screw the teflon. Use the permatex thread sealer linked to above.

Try tightening the fittings with a wrench, not your girly fingers.

I had issues with my FPR, I used some permatex that was made for fuel, but it ate right through it. Now i cant remember what I ended up using, maybe teflon tape.
