My Knee Hurts
I have a bad left knee and I am looking for some advice on weather there is a clutch that will reliably handle 180-200 whp but not leave me forced to buy an automatic by the time I am 30. I dont need it to be as soft as stock, but obviosly, it cant be to stiff.
I dont have unlimited funds right now, but I dont have 180-200 whp either, so this is all still in the planning stages. I should probably just stop spending money on the car and get some knee surgery (yea... shure...) |
Ebay stage 3 clutch is as light as stock and will hold that just fine. Mine was only on track to last maybe 50K miles though i did abuse it alot. + at 150 or so $ it is a good deal.

You can search for my clutch thread, where I asked for the same advice. I'm in the same boat, bad left knee. Had a fractured tibial plateau, impacted knee cap, ripped my acl off the footplate, as well as fracturing the bones in my leg.
Went with a 1.8 ACT HD. The only time I've had difficulty with it was right after the ACL surgery. Otherwise, no problems. If you really think your power will be limited to 180-200, you can get the 1.6 ACT HD. It's really not any heavier than stock. If you feel you'll go over 200 get the 1.8 clutch. It's totally livable for me, and I still have a hard time walking up stairs and ladders. Ben |
seems like I am going to have plenty of options when it comes time to install it
thanks for the quick replys |
