NA AC Compressor - Bracket Template for Sanden 508 or Spare compressor anyone?

Hi there,

I have a stock NA (1991) with 190K miles on it. It's currently my only vehicle because a Houston driver just recently totalled my "daily driver".

The AC on my Miata just went out. I had the whole system replaced several years ago and fitted for R134. My Mechanic, who's worked on this thing since '99, says the compressor is leaking in two places and doesn't think replacing the seals is going to fix it. Otherwise I know he would because he did it for me on my daily driver.

I've been wanting to replace my NA with an NB turbo set up so I'm using these recent events as an excuse to get the NA in sound condition for its age and then look for its replacement.

So in the mean time I want get the AC back running without spending a ton of money on a car with high mileage. I've read about using the Sanden 508 compressor to reduce the power drain (and the cost), and that would be nice. I've also seen on these forums that people living in the fairer weather states have pulled their AC systems.

So I was wondering:
  1. Does anyone have a bracket template / specs already created for hooking up a Sanden 508? Since this is my only vehicle temporarily, I'd like to minimize downtime by getting the bracket made in advance.
  2. Does anyone have an AC Compressor that they'd like to clear out of their garage for the cost of shipping?

Thanks in advance and I look forward to some Turbo'd fun.
