NA -One headlight does not Pop up, or does not go down (solved)
 

As the title suggests, if you have 1 headlight motor which is acting up, it may be repairable.

Remove the light, by first unplugging it and then prying off the control arm with a screwdriver, and removing the 3 10mm bolts.
It's probably a good idea to plug the suspected bad motor, into the other side to confirm the problem does not go away.

If the problem persists, remove the 2 Philips screws holding the bottom plastic assembly, to the motor. This cover pops off -don't lose the large o-ring.

The cover has 3 spring contacts, which ride against the electrical traces on the other half of the assembly.

If the contacts look good, then the problem may be with one or more of the diodes located beneath the white plastic cover.
The 3 black pins above just align the white cover. Since the wires are so short, it's hard to coax the cover off.

To help, use needle nose to push the wires one by one from the back.

There is a small relay, as well as 3 diodes tucked away here. The diodes are SR1K4's, which are rated at 1amp.
I found 1 bad diode, so I replaced it with a RL254, which is rated at 2.5A and can be had in the same body size as the SR1K4. Standard 1n40001's or other 1a diodes would probably work as well.

It's strange but reassembly is much easier than taking it apart.
