(NB) Fuel Evap Canister
 

I read up a while back about the "charcoal canister delete" and saw a couple how-to threads with photos removing it. They were all NAs thought and they had another line to 'loop' the lines with. On my 2000 Miata I removed the canister and there's no line from what I can see to connect it to. I drove with it open and after parking it I noticed fuel was bubbling from heat and drops were occasionally flinging out from the open tube (not good).

Do NBs have another line to connect to so it's not open to atmosphere? I noticed Emilio's Crusher doesn't have the canister but I can't see where the vent tube got routed to (or if it was removed completely)

NB Charcoal canister is mounted in the passenger side rear wheel well behind the plastic liner. What is it that you actually wanted to remove?

I think he wants to delete the one in the bay. You'll either have to delete it to the tank and drill a hole in your gas cap to vent tank pressure. Or just delete the one on the bay and connect the hose with a longer one.

Just take it out, hook the line from the solonoid to the line that goes under your car. Ditches the can but allows you to keep the use of vacumm on your system. Really tired so if this make sense cool. If not will post tomorrow. As it was explained to me the one in the bay is redundant. I'll take a pic of mine tomorrow. Haven't ran it yet. After talking to FM and a few other this seemed like the best route.

I need to clean up the hose route when the motor goes in.

I said I already removed the canister and that it's bubbling fuel. I will see if I can hook the line back up to the solenoid.

I deleted mine to clean up the bay and I might have had to to do the reroute I'm trying to do. Hope it helps. If you just plug the line the pressure in the gas tank just build to my knowledge. Living in a hot climate it could make other issues.
