NB transponder mounting

I have a hardwire AMB transponder that I had from my Spec Miata that I want to now use on my 2001. In the Spec I had it wired to the little blue diag conector in the engine bay. I am wondering if there is any location like that on the NB. I can't locate on that is easy to plug into and not cut any wires. I am sort of ---- about cutting wires or tapping into them. on a street/track car. Beeing a tech I have seen many problem resulting from doing so. AI am thankfull for any help that you may be able to offer about mounting it.

Have a great day,
Jared

What I decided to do was mount it on the p-side in front of the tire behind the bumper and fender liner on the under pannel. This worked great. I have had no problem with it in there. The sensor at the track had no problem reading it either.

Since there is no simple connector like the NA has I just improvised. I ran the wires throught the sway bar mount up into the engine bay. I grounded it to a 10mm bolt that holds the A/C lince in place. I oppened up the fuse box that is in the back on that side and removed the 10mm that holds the power feed to the box. I just used basic round connectors for the ground and power. since the transponder runs on 12amps I installed a 15amp fuse in line right off the fuse box so that I could install the fuse when I needed it and remove it when I didn't. Very simple. The fuse was left in all weekend and it never had a problem starting.

Have a great day,
Jared
