NB1 Fed/CA O2 wiring cleanup
 

As it turns out, my CA-spec NB1 has the complete wiring harness and connector for the Fed-spec O2 sensor location.

I checked the wiring manual, and it shows an either/or configuration, so I have no idea what the plug is doing.

Obviously, I want to remove it if possible since it's pretty unsightly now that my floor pan drop made it visible.

Is this plug live? If I plugged a sensor into it and unplugged the rear CA-spec location, what would happen? What if I left them both plugged in?

Can I cut it at the junction and seal the leads without changing the resistance in the circuit and/or adversely affecting the O2 sensor readings?
