Default 10 months later...

I posted on here ten months ago saying I wanted to turbo my automatic Mata and all this bs. You guys bashed me and I took it to heart and hunted down a guy in my area who had a 240hp NB. I got him to take me for a ride and I was smiles whole time. So I did my research read countless forums and talked to my track buddies. After 10 months and lots of money and knuckle busting I am done with my build.

if you woulda done it right the 1st time you wouldn't use a piece of crap piggy back for management, and a 2.5" downpipe, and some of the ricer stuff like a "freedom strut bar" whatever that is. But its definitely better than some of the other bandaids I guess.

*ps: can you post pics of the Freddy bov? sounds pretty rad

I didn't bother correct king it from Freddy BOV to Greddy. Because I thought people with half a brain could figure it out. And 2.5" is plenty. And piggyback is fine for my setup.

Round 2.

But seriously where were you reading that you decided not to MS it?

Honestly I'm just curious, the build isn't that bad, and I'm sure lots of fun.

Its hilarious because he already admitted to having been ignorant, and now when we're pointing out current ignorance he's too ignorant to admit it .

I guess that's what round 3 will be for.

Eh, a 2.5" downpipe definitely isn't the end of the world.

Does it make the most power? No.

Is it fine for 90% of street driven Miatas? Yep.

Geeze, can't there be more than one way to build a Miata? The guy takes a beating and has the brass to come back and say thanks for the input. However, he doesn't build his car to our premium specifications so we take offense? He successfully built the car he wanted and thanked our site for the guidance. Good job! I still want to see some pictures too.

By this logic we should have been okay with his plans 10 months ago, and he wouldn't be where he is now. Instead he would have a shitty car. Props to him for finishing his build (something I hope to do one day), but why can't we continue to rag on him? We rag on everyone here. Why is he special? Because he thanked us we are supposed to put him on a pedestal? This isn't m.net, and he doesn't have to do what we tell him, but that doesn't mean we can't voice our opinions.

tldr; get a ms.

Manifold looks sweet. Haven't heard of DOC racing before. I don't like your wheels but if you do then whatever.

X2 though on comments regarding "taking our advice" then putting anything but MS on it.

Wow, eBay? Sheesh. I think it looks sweet. Would like to see data on how long it lasts... Wonder if the quality is up to par. Can't you get an Artech manifold for about that price though?
